Can branding save the world?
Attending Future Foods the other week, some colleagues and I sampled jellyfish salad and chicken heart satay, learned about the nutritional possibilities of algae and explored our preconceptions around some non-traditional aspects of the food chain… specifically our food chain.

Beer targeted at women: can it be credible?
Feminisation has long been a fundamental problem for the beer industry. Recent research has shown nearly 80% of women don’t drink beer, and this lack of attraction could be accredited to the lack of effort from brewers in the past to make the female market feel more included.

Leaving Facebook for the real thing
Last week I left Facebook. You might not think this is big news, but let me tell you I’m one of the biggest advocates of social networking, so when my friends and family found out they were shocked, surprised and convinced I’d change my mind within a couple of days.

QR Codes: a brand fad or brand builder?
In the last two years more and more brands are making QR codes a part of their integrated marketing campaigns, clearly using the extra content as a way to differentiate themselves from competitors. Most brands have made the switch to try out new media but I wonder if many brand owners aren’t fully convinced how this innovation can benefit their brand.
