A great British evening in Amsterdam

Longing for the comforts of home, some of the more anglo-orientated members of the Amsterdam studio decided it was time to have a good old Blighty themed knees-up. Festooning the studio with great British delicacies and decor, Design Bridge Amsterdam was set up for an evening of thoroughly British capers and a slap-up meal.

A peek into the world of sign making

As you may have noticed from previous blog posts, we do like a bit of lettering and signage here at DB. This week the 3D team had the pleasure of visiting sign manufacturer John Anthony Signs in Essex, who create beautifully crafted signage for famous brands such as Harrods, Louis Vuitton and Ferrari.

When asking for suggestions, we had so many we made it a two parter, as we also uncovered quite a few people who produced their own creative work on the side including illustration and hand crafted leather wallets.

Mobius Award wins for 25 Stories and Plymouth Gin

We’ve had a great start to the year so far, winning Mobius awards for two projects – our 25th anniversary book and Plymouth Gin. Also, later this year Graham Shearsby and Asa Cook will appear on judging panels for both the Pentawards and the Design Week Awards.

Bake off in aid of Richard House charity

Our lovely clients at Tate & Lyle invited us to help them raise money for children’s hospice charity Richard House. This time the theme was Childhood Favourites, and there were some amazing efforts including home made Jammie Dodgers, Bakewell tart, Malteser cupcakes and a whole Battenburg cake.
