Celebrating the launch of our 25th anniversary book
It’s often said that everyone has one book in them, and Design Bridge is no exception. So last year, as we celebrated our 25th anniversary, it was suggested that we should write a book. Funny how easy it is to say:’ write a book’. We learnt a lot along the way about what it actually means to do this; about the blood, sweat and tears that it takes to make a book come together.
This week the book was launched via a live link up between the three offices, with an introduction from Graham and Tim. To mark the launch we have changed our receptions again, using them to display an intriguing snapshot of some of the pages of the book, which tell parts of our story. From Major Matt Mason to lemon meringue pie.
We didn’t want to write a rose tinted chronological history and certainly not a design theory book. No, we wanted to capture who we are and what has made Design Bridge the company it is today. We wanted to capture what makes us tick. ‘25 stories’ is a collection of stories, analogies, ideas, anecdotes and the stuff that just happens which all goes into making us.
Where can you get a copy of ’25 stories’? Well, not in the shops. It’s not for sale. Everyone who works at Design Bridge will get a copy, as will everyone who joins and of course our clients who work closely with us. We’ll have a copy or two on the coffee tables of each of our receptions, so if you’re passing, pop by and have a look.
