Favourites this week
It’s that time of the week again. Here are some of the best things that we’ve got excited about this week.
I think that bag brand Crumpler should win the competition for cutest promotional giveaway ever. Check out these tiny matches!! I’m not sure what the connection is with the brand (is it about delight, or things being simple and compact?) but on a superficial level it made me more interested in the brand just because of the sheer cuteness factor. And they come with a mini fact on the back of each one. Bonus.
Okay, I know I’ve harped on before about embroidered stuff on previous Friday Faves, but I couldn’t resist sharing these embroidered portraits by Daniel Kornrumpf. Just gorgeous. More on Today and Tomorrow.
Well, this puts the point across nicely. Gillette’s recent campaign was created by BBDO, and involved a number of these towels being left in pubic, I mean, public parks and open green spaces in Germany to encourage people to tidy themselves up before the summer season. It was so good it won a Bronze award at Cannes Lions recently.
And finally thanks to Matt McC for pointing us to Peter Funch’s intriguing work entitled ‘Babel Tales’. These are not photos of one single event – they’re composites made up of a number of different shots taken on the same street corner in New York.
