NASA brand guidelines 1978

Rather fittingly, on the week of the last Shuttle Atlantis mission I came across the NASA guideline documents on the Aiga archives. Beautifully simple, its fascinating to see the iconic branding applied to everything from spaceships to delivery vans. A dream job for any designer.

A lot of restraint and clean execution. I suppose the print budget may have been spent on rocket fuel!
