The Design Bridge London Charity Christmas Breakfast 2018

One of our favourite festive traditions in London is the annual Charity Christmas breakfast. Every year we host a breakfast for the London team, cooked by our own fair hands in The Crypt at St James Church just across from our Studio in Clerkenwell, to raise money for Crisis at Christmas and support the charity’s mission to end homelessness in the UK.

Decorating the magical space with fairy lights and holly, accompanied by Christmas songs, yesterday we spent the morning catching up with our DB friends over freshly cooked breakfast rolls and a good old cuppa.

As always, we’d like to say a massive “thank you” to all of the local businesses who donated ingredients, and to all the people that gave up their time to help make this happen. In no particular order, thank you to…

  • - The Horseshoe for providing the sausages (special shout out to Lynne for getting up early to cook them)
  • - Deke at The Three Kings for the bacon delivery
  • - Al from Scotti’s for donating those all-important bread rolls
  • - The lovely folk at Clerkenwell Kitchen for the eggs
  • - Rob and Charlie for logistics, set up, manual labour, & all-round excellence
  • - Our official photographer, Charlotte H
  • - Plus all of the elves who dragged themselves out of bed super early to come along and help – Al, Molly, Courtney, Nik, Darren, Sam G, Jordan A, Susie, Tash, Birgitte (and anyone missed of this list), you’re all brilliant.

And, of course, thank you to everyone who came along for breakfast and supported Crisis at Christmas this year.
