Design Bridge success at Pentawards & Clio Awards 2016

Last Friday, Mark and Oli from DB Singapore enjoyed an evening of Shanghai glamour at the annual Pentawards ceremony. But it wasn’t just about enjoying the food, drinks and catching up with friends old and new in the Sky Bar, they had some work to do – collecting 6 shiny new trophies! Here are this year’s Design Bridge Pentawards winners…

We’re delighted to return home with 3 Golds, awarded for our work on Cacao Barry, Guinness Africa Special and Fortnum & Mason Chic Novelties (which also scooped a Bronze Clio Award – go Team Fortnums!).

And there was even more good news for our Fortnum & Mason team as we were also awarded a Silver for our work on the 2015 Christmas range.

Completing our Pentawards haul this year were Bronze awards for our Cadbury Milk Tray packaging design, and our BBQ-themed Limited Edition tin for Lyle’s Black Treacle.

Congratulations to all of the winners – lots of amazing work from agencies of all sizes and locations. We’d like to give a special thanks to Matt Parkes from JKR for the lovely mention in his ‘Best of Show’ speech, and to the Pentawards team for sharing the event photographs with us. Until Barcelona next year…

You can read about some of the other awards we’ve won this year elsewhere on the blog, including D&AD and FAB Awards, and this year’s DBA Design Effectiveness Awards.

Waking up and taking a shot of the Pearl Tower across the Huangpu River with a glorious sunrise on the morning of the awards. Good portents for the day ahead!
