Design Bridge wins Design Agency of the Year at The FAB Awards 2018

Now in its 20th year, last night we were back at the fabulous Hurlingham Club in London for The FAB Awards – an international Awards program that celebrates creative work for food and beverage brands. After catching up with friends over a G&T or two, it was time to settle in for the awards ceremony, although we didn’t settle for too long as we called up to the stage to collect a FAB Award for our work on Fortnum & Mason Florentines!

And not just that, we also received 3 Silver awards for our intriguingly tactile Karhu Limited Edition can design, the deliciously summery Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla bottle, and our Smirnoff Choose Love project – bravo team!

We were then delighted to find out that Smirnoff Choose Love had won a second award – the brand new FAB People Choice Award! This award was based on the outcomes of a research process that gained real insights from real consumers on which pack designs they deemed to be striking, imaginative, irresistible and ground-breaking, and also the designs that they intuitively loved – you can read more about the process here. We’re pleased as punch to win this one and want to give a special shout out to the brilliant Rob Bailey, who collaborated with us on this project, plus our amazing clients at Diageo who embraced our bold idea and replaced all regular Smirnoff 21 bottles with our inclusive “Choose Love” designs on shelf in Tesco stores all over the UK during Pride 2017. You can read more about the project elsewhere on our blog.

And just when we thought the excitement levels couldn’t get any higher, we then discovered that we were the joint winners of Design Agency of the Year alongside the lovely people of Turner Duckworth!

Congratulations all round, what a brilliant year for FABulous design!
