Friday Favourites

We’ve come across a fair few inspiring and creative food-based stories this week, so we’ll start today’s Friday Favourites with a delectable short film, shot at the Jean-Yves Bordier Butter factory in Brittany, France. It’s a brilliant insight into the care and craft that goes into making some of the world’s most delicious butter. Prepare yourself for some buttery heaven…

Love in the Upside-Down

Next up is the incredible Stranger Things-inspired Valentine’s Day spread, created by ultra talented baker/food stylist Christine McConnell for Food.com. The attention to detail is amazing…

Pastry craft

And finally on the subject of tasty treats, take a look at some of these stunningly crafted pastries from last week’s World Pastry Cup, which took place in France…

Instagram of the Week

And now for something non-foodie. From Lydia this week, a little bit of letterpress inspiration: “Last weekend I was in Broadstairs in Kent, and I stumbled across Roger and his small warehouse full of trays brimming with wooden and metal letterpress! He is the guy to go to if you ever need to buy reconditioned equipment as he trawls the country in search of letterpress treasures! His Instagram is definitely worth a follow: @urbanfox_letterpress.”

Paper Planes

Want to learn a new skill this weekend? Why not try your hand at folding a paper plane. And we’re not just talking about a regular paper plane – this is the world record holding paper plane, as folded by John Collins, whose plane set the world record for distance with a 226′ 10″, which was throw by football player Joe Ayoob.
