Asa Cook has been invited to be on the judging panel at this year’s Design Week Awards. Asa is a Creative Director in the London studio, and an award winner of several accolades including The New York Festivals, Communication Arts, Pentawards, The DBA Design Effectiveness Awards and his work was also shortlisted for The Design Week Awards. Asa commented:
“I really enjoyed the judging process last year so it’s great to be invited back. A highlight for me was the intense debate that the judges had about all of the work across the various design disciplines when trying to pick the Best In Show. How do you compare a piece of packaging design to an interactive exhibition? Whatever their background, the judges agreed that it’s all about the quality of the idea and how it disrupts within its category, a judgement criteria that we use here at Design Bridge to assess our own work.”
Asa has been a mentor to design students since he joined us back in 2002 and went on to mentor juniors within his team as his career progressed. He has written a number of articles in Design Week about the importance of growing design talent within a business, as well as advice for young design graduates looking to get into the industry.
