DB Singapore partners with AWARE - Singapore's leading gender equality group

Over the past few years, we've felt an increasingly heavy imbalance of inequality in the world. We felt a responsibility to help alleviate some of this friction through what we do best - because we know, we can do good through design. 

So earlier this year, our Singapore studio came up with a New Year's resolution to design for good with a focus on special projects that has body and soul. 

We want to work on projects that will help make the world a better place and focus on non-profit causes that centre on environmental and social issues, gender inequality, and more. And we're looking forward to creating a more positive impact on the community and designing for better outcomes. 

Since August, we've been working closely with AWARE – Singapore's leading women’s rights and gender equality group. Aware identifies and eliminates barriers through research, education, training, and support services. And since its formation in 1985, AWARE has researched numerous issues that affect women, including workplace sexual harassment, poverty of older women and more. 

Our Singapore studio has helped bring their communication through design on a pro bono job to design a fundraising campaign for their Women’s Helpline, which has been such a meaningful journey to understand more about their work and the help they provide to women in need (especially through covid times).
