Fedrigoni 365 - Our entry for June 28
- Jun 28, 2022
Fedrigoni, the specialist manufacturer of fine Italian paper, has partnered with design experts TM Studio to launch their highly-anticipated annual calendar project, Fedrigoni 365. This project produces an educational toolkit for designers showcasing the endless possibilities of finishing and bookbinding.
The 2022 edition follows the theme of collaboration and inclusion, enlisting talents from different disciplines and prestigious creative-printing partners to celebrate the entire creative ecosystem.
Each date in the calendar requires artistic input from creatives. This year, we were assigned June 28th and our very own Craig Riseborough, Designer at DB London, helped craft the design on behalf of DB!
“Fedrigoni 365 is always a great project to be involved in and we're so happy to be included again this year. It's a designer's paradise of opportunity, where you can craft a quick-witted creative response and execute it however you wish.” – Craig Riseborough, Designer
Our assigned date proved really inspiring, uncovering some incredible historical moments and references to the number 28. Ultimately, the invention of the saxophone in 1846 inspired Craig the most...
“This idea stood out to me when sketching, as thinking ahead, I loved how it would complement the yellow brass-like Materica Terra Gialla paper that June was going to be printed on, as well as the metallic ink that was being used. The printed result by Fedrigoni x TM x Hampton, Kingsbury Press and Team is a real treat.”
Fedrigoni 365 2022 is a collection of four volumes, printed entirely on the sustainable FSC® certified range Materica. It is made with 25% recycled content and 10% cotton, giving the paper a bulky, rough and tactile feel.
