On a beautiful summery eve in London last night we put on our very best clothes and headed over to the Hurlingham Club for the 19th annual FAB Awards ceremony – an international awards programme that celebrates creative excellence for the food and beverage industry. As well as a fabulous evening of friends, food, drinks and dancing, we were delighted to be receive a FAB Award for our Guinness Harp identity.
But that wasn’t all – we also picked up a Silver award in the Packaging Design category for our Lyle’s Sticky Summer BBQ Limited Edition Black Treacle tin – the latest of our special edition designs for Lyle’s iconic British kitchen cupboard staple.
Mmmmm a sticky summer BBQ sounds like the perfect way to spend this weekend!
Our Guinness harp identity has been in the news elsewhere too, including Creative Review The Annual for Brand Identity and achieving Finalist level at New York Festivals in the Graphic Design: Logos category. Bravo, team Guinness! You can read more about the project in the case study.
We also received some extra sweet news recently from The Dieline Awards, where our collaboration with illustrator Coralie Bickford-Smith for the Fortnum & Mason International Honey range was awarded a merit for outstanding achievements in the Luxury category – read all about it on The Dieline.
And finally in awards news, we were excited to hear that we’ve been nominated for 3 Pentawards this year for our work on L’Or Espresso Capsules, Fortnum & Mason Biscuits, and Comfort Luxury Nature, an elegant black and larger-then-life flower design aimed at the Indonesian market – here’s a peek at our nominated work:
Mark Budden, our Asia Regional Chairman, is on the Pentawards jury this year after attending the ceremony in Shanghai last year with Oli. The next thing for us to decide is who will be going along to the ceremony in Barcelona… Roll on 23rd September!
