Pathways to Net Zero

Net zero is a complex and multi-faceted subject. Reporting in this area is new, and often criticised for a lack of substance and clarity. But this is a topic that is too important to get wrong.

Here at Superunion, we’ve been spending a lot of time thinking about how companies can better communicate net zero strategies, and in turn build transparency and trust with a broad range of stakeholders.

In our latest white paper, Pathways to Net Zero, we have identified five attributes for best-practice net zero reporting. To cut through the sea of complexity and identify best-practice in net zero reporting, we reviewed a sample of FTSE 100 companies and others that are acting to set Science Based Targets (SBTs). There are clear parallels with corporate strategy reporting conventions that have been tried-and-tested within the annual report, but surprisingly many of these have not yet been adopted within net zero disclosure.

If you would like a copy of the report or would like to discuss how we could help with your corporate reporting and sustainability communications please do get in touch with: Ella Moore, Head of Sustainability and Corporate Reporting: ella.moore@superunion.com.
